Our Story
The World Affairs Council of Las Vegas is one of more than 100 non-profit organizations around the nation affiliated with Global Ties US. Our office arranges professional meetings between visitors and local professionals, travel, accommodation, cultural encounters and visits to schools as well as home hospitality.

Diplomacy:
WACLV fosters connections and dialogues between people from southern Nevada and individuals from around the world. This people-to-people diplomacy approach helps promote cross-cultural understanding and cooperation. As part of the International Visitors Leadership (IVLP) programming, Home Hospitality is a highlight for the visitors and the families that welcome the visitors into their homes.
International Exchange
Through a participation with the Department of State’s premier professional exchange program, the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) the Council serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas on international issues and global challenges. By facilitating discussions and dialogues, it helps broaden the perspectives of Nevadans on international matters.
Youth Education
The Council provides educational programs and resources for young people to learn about international issues, cultures, and diplomacy. This helps prepare the next generation for global challenges and opportunities.
