What is a Professional Resource?

A Professional Resource is a local expert or organization that contributes substantive knowledge to an international delegation’s visit. You might host a focused briefing, explain a policy or practice, welcome a site visit, or exchange experiences with professional peers. This is an expert-to-expert role, distinct from general event volunteering.

Why your knowledge matters

WACLV identifies local “pockets of excellence” that can help visiting leaders examine a challenge from another perspective. Southern Nevada offers practical experience across water management, entrepreneurship, human-rights work, education, hospitality, sports, and major events. A useful resource may be a public agency, nonprofit, university, business, or individual practitioner.

A conversation, not a sales presentation

The value is in honest professional exchange: how your organization works, what it has learned, and what others can learn from or contribute to that experience. WACLV can discuss a delegation’s interests and the format of a potential meeting with you.
