The work, remembered

A Council is made
of encounters.

A classroom. A shared table. A conversation that continues after dinner. Explore three documented moments in the Council’s story.

This is a growing selection of public records, not a complete institutional history. Each entry identifies its source and what the record can establish. Help preserve another moment.

  1. Education · January 25, 2014

    A classroom opens onto Turkey

A teachers’ workshop at Canarelli Middle School placed Turkish history and culture in a Las Vegas classroom. The partner calendar links to the original WACLV flyer and situates the workshop within a national educational program.

Help keep the record

Have a program, photograph or memory?

Start by telling the Council what you hold. Useful details include the event, approximate date, who created the record and what you can confirm firsthand.

For images, explain who owns the photograph and whether the people shown have agreed to its publication. Do not send private guest lists, home addresses or unapproved biographies. A submission begins a review; it does not authorize publication.

A first message is enough.

  1. Name the event or program.
  2. Separate what you remember from what a dated record confirms.
  3. Describe the material and its permission status before sending files.
Offer an archive record

Use “General information” and begin your message “Archive contribution.” The contact form sends an inquiry to the Council; nothing is posted publicly.

Original sources rechecked . No new portrait, contributor biography or historical photograph is published on this index. Existing story photographs retain their existing attribution; a public source is not itself a new photo release.
